Horseware’s core focus is on the manufacture and sale of horse rugs/blankets (c. 70% of revenue) however its product offering expands into wider equine accessories including bridals, high-end tailored clothing for equine purposes and equine therapy products.
The Company has an international sales footprint with c. 66% of sales achieved in Europe (less than 20% from UK and Ireland), 32% from North America and 2% Rest of the World. It has a vertically integrated international supply chain with manufacturing facilities in Ireland, Cambodia and China as well as a distribution centre in the USA.
Horseware is attractive because of its global footprint and the opportunity to further penetrate existing markets as well as enter new markets via both physical and online sales channels. There was also an opportunity to drive efficiencies in the operations, which management were already on the journey towards achieving.
